Last blog:Question 4,5

4. I really don't have a "least favorite" thing because of my interesting topic, however the presentation is somewhat boring.
5. The most valuable or interesting thing I have learned about myself was that I HAVE TO HAVE my genus hour including activity. Next year I will remember this and apply it to my genus hour topic.

Last blog:Question 1,2,3

1.My favorite part of the whole experience of genus hour was the vlog. I loved editing and being able to consistently do something enjoyable. For the first time I really felt like I was soaking up every moment of the whole trip.
2.Currently my least favorite part is doing the presentation. It isn't fun having to constantly work on your phone and dealing with neck aches. Keynote is a very professional presentation and don't get me wrong I love the lay out but I just don't like having to do ONE thing constantly. I have to do something active, for example my vlog.
3. My favorite part ,which was the most valuable, was having my grandma explain to me the finances. I am so grateful and blessed to have my grandma sacrifice money for my dancing career .

Ehhhhh

Haven't really connected with the topic lately. I'm so busy and I don't even keep up with the blog..also the presentation isn't really finished yet. I haven't had the motivation to complete it.

Keynote time ✨

Currently I am making the keynote  presentation...I met with my grandma to get all the information and all of the data is nicely organized. The only thing I may struggle with is getting the information clearly across without any confusion.

Vlog experience.

I have returned from my trip and finished editing my vlog. Some of the obstacles encountered was
•figuring out how to edit
•vlogging Saturday and Sunday because of my busy schedule
•keeping up with my Selfie stick
•keeping enough battery to save for my vlogging
All I need to do is create my PowerPoint of the expenses of dance.

Journey

What is the cost of consistent dance training?

In my English class, we have started a project called Genius Hour. In this project we have to choose a interesting, passionate, and beneficial topic that we want to educate ourselves about. My mind is going towards a dancers life and his/hers expenses.
Dance training in general is expensive but I want to get down to the absolute number. For example, every summer I go to about five dance camps that are about 500 dollars each . On top of that during the year round I go to a studio classes with monthly payments of costumes ,choreography , and competitions.I want to thoroughly explain this to my class. This will be part 1.
Also in my project I want to make a part two of my research: A dancers life. Coincidently I am going to Los Angeles for a week to train. I want to show my class the intensity that I train at and how it is NO JOKE . My dance training is very important to me and I am willing to sacrifice my money and time to be successful. I want to include the expenses, amount of hours I train, and overall the whole experience during this video blog.
Some of the problems I may run into are:
-finding the right camera to vlog with
-calculating the expenses
-lack of information
-not getting off topic
-editing the vlog
In conclusion, having the knowledge of the expenses for training will benefit me.It will give me a boost of more appreciation for the people that pay for me to do what I love. In addition , I feel the vlog of my work ethic may inspire viewers or other dancers.
